About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established leader in electrical and mechanical manufacturing solutions, is seeking an Mechanical/Electrical Manufacturing Technician to join their growing team in Salt Lake City. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate or emerging professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-impact production environment supporting large-scale construction and electrical systems projects.
The ideal candidate will support process improvements, fabrication efforts, and production engineering initiatives while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for electrical and mechanical assemblies.
- Interpret, troubleshoot, repair equipment utilizing engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to assist prefabrication and production activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including workflow optimization, tooling upgrades, and safety enhancements.
- Work with engineering, fabrication, quality, and project management teams to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Conduct process studies, data collection, and analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Assist in evaluating, testing, and implementing new equipment, tools, and manufacturing technologies.
- Participate in quality control activities, including inspections, issue documentation, and root-cause analysis.
- Maintain and update manufacturing documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, BOMs, and technical reports.
- Support facility layout planning and production execution for electrical and mechanical component builds.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
—OR— relevant hands-on experience in a military, manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Foundational understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work on-site in a production and fabrication environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of prefabrication, modular construction, or industrial electrical systems.
- Military background in technical roles is advantageous due to disciplined approach to maintenance procedures.
