About the job Senior Construction Manager – Division 28
The GOR Group is partnering with a client seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager – Division 28 to lead the execution of integrated security and low-voltage systems across large-scale, mission-critical construction projects.
This role owns Division 28 execution from installation through testing, commissioning, and turnover. The Senior Construction Manager will lead field teams, subcontractors, and vendors while coordinating closely with Division 26, Division 8, fire alarm, IT/network, and other project stakeholders.
A major focus of the position is electrified opening coordination, ensuring door hardware, power, controls, access control, and security systems are fully coordinated and operational as one integrated system.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all Division 28 field activities, including self-perform crews, subcontractors, vendors, and field leadership.
- Manage installation of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems.
- Own electrified opening and Division 8 coordination.
- Ensure openings progress through installation, testing, deficiency resolution, and turnover.
- Maintain test-ready and turnover-ready system conditions ahead of commissioning.
- Coordinate Division 28 interfaces with Division 26, fire alarm, IT/network, and other trades.
- Monitor manpower, productivity, installation sequencing, milestones, and overall execution.
- Lead daily and weekly planning with field teams and subcontractors.
- Identify manpower gaps, sequencing issues, resource constraints, and execution risks.
- Track installation progress, deficiencies, punch-list items, documentation, and turnover requirements.
- Support integrated system testing, commissioning, and final turnover.
- Coach and develop Foremen and field leadership.
- Maintain project safety, quality, accountability, and site standards.

- Access control systems, badge readers, controllers, and entry systems
- IP CCTV, monitoring, recording, and security management platforms
- Intrusion detection and security head-end systems

Qualifications
- 10–15+ years of construction experience, with significant Division 28 or integrated low-voltage experience.
- Experience leading large-scale or mission-critical construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems.
- Deep understanding of electrified openings and Division 8 door hardware coordination.
- Experience coordinating power, controls, hardware, and security interfaces across multiple trades.
- Strong understanding of system integration, sequencing, room readiness, release-to-work logic, and turnover.
- Experience managing self-perform crews and subcontractors.
- Proven ability to drive field productivity and accountability.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience developing Foremen and field leadership.
- Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced mission-critical construction environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
- OSHA 30 required or strongly preferred.
- Security-system certifications are a plus.
- Data center, healthcare, aviation, or similar complex-project experience preferred.
