We are currently seeking a mid-level Power BI Developer. This is a fully remote position. The selected candidate will be working directly with a U.S.-based employer, developing interactive reports, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions.
Job Overview
The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have strong data visualization skills, experience working with SQL databases, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Connect, transform, and model data from various data sources (SQL, Excel, APIs, etc.).
- Create and optimize DAX calculations to enhance data analysis.
- Design data visualizations that effectively communicate business insights.
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security within Power BI reports.
- Optimize Power BI performance by fine-tuning queries and data models.
- Provide documentation and training to users on Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Troubleshoot issues and improve existing reporting solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2-5 years of experience working as a Power BI Developer or in a related data analytics role.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX functions and Power Query (M language).
- Experience working with SQL databases (writing queries, stored procedures, and optimizing performance).
- Familiarity with data modeling techniques and best practices.
- Strong data visualization and dashboard design skills.
- Experience with integrating Power BI with multiple data sources (Excel, APIs, cloud databases, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced remote environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and ability to attend video meetings as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory, etc.).
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other scripting languages for data analysis.
- Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
