Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager with 5+ years of experience leading complex projects, managing budgets, and driving stakeholder engagement at all levels. In this role, you will oversee the full project lifecyclefrom initiation through closewhile applying both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. You will present to C-level executives, track and report project KPIs, and ensure successful outcomes across multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate excels in communication, stakeholder management, and strategic leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership & Strategy
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with executive stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project charters, plans, and schedules, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocations, and timelines, maintaining strict control of costs and deliverables.
2. Budget & Resource Management
- Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure resource needs are accurately identified, allocated, and optimized throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide recommendations on cost-saving measures and budget realignments as needed.
3. Advanced Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive project objectives.
- Establish strong relationships with senior leadership and C-level executives, presenting project updates and insights.
- Act as the primary point of contact for issue escalation, conflict resolution, and alignment of project goals.
4. Methodology & Process Improvements
- Implement both Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate, customizing frameworks to fit project needs.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) or traditional Waterfall stage gates.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency.
5. Communication & Reporting
- Maintain high proficiency in spoken and written English, delivering clear, concise communications to all levels of the organization.
- Create executive-level presentations and reports, highlighting key milestones, risks, and KPIs.
- Provide real-time status updates, dashboards, and comprehensive project documentation for stakeholders.
6. Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Track and analyze project KPIs such as schedule variance, budget health, and resource utilization to measure success.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
- Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
7. Project Closure & Handover
- Execute project closeout activities, ensuring all deliverables meet or exceed quality standards.
- Conduct formal handover of project outputs to operational teams, including necessary documentation.
- Archive all project materials and finalize any outstanding contractual or financial obligations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5+ years of proven project management experience, leading projects from conception to closure.
- Budget Management: Demonstrated track record of managing project budgets, financial analysis, and resource allocation.
- Methodologies: Advanced knowledge of both Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience working directly with senior leadership and C-level executives.
- Project Management Tools: Proficient in software like Jira, Trello, MS Project, or equivalent for tracking and reporting.
- MS Office Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint (for executive presentations) and Excel (for budget tracking).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Reporting & KPIs: Proven ability to define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Education: Bachelors degree in business, IT, engineering, or related field preferred; Masters degree a plus.
- Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, or other relevant certifications strongly preferred.
