COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Our client is a leading distributor of office stationery, printing consumables, canteen, cleaning, PPE and general office supplies. They are looking for a Stock Checker to join their team on a Fixed Term Contract basis.
JOB DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform regular stock counts and checks
- Verify stock received and dispatched
- Record and update stock levels on the system
- Identify and report stock discrepancies
- Ensure stock is correctly stored and labelled
- Assist with stock takes
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12
- Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 3+ years experience in a stock control, stock checking, or inventory role
- Basic knowledge of stock control systems and inventory processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to work in a warehouse environment
