COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

Our client is a beverage manufacturer located in Stellenbosch and they are looking for a Brand Manager to join their team as soon as possible.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Understanding the behaviour of the brands target audience and developing brand solutions.
  • To devise strategies that are data led, and evidence based leading to insight led marketing initiatives.
  • Expand the brand image, category market share and improve the overall brand perception.
  • Maintain budgets, predict market trends and sales, along with assessing KPIs and ROIs.
  • Develop and lead brand campaigns by collaborating with teams across different verticals such as sales, marketing, creative, legal, etc.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop brand strategy in line with organizational objectives
  • Conduct consumer and category research ability to develop brand imperatives
  • Map out key communication and activation tactics to deliver required objectives
  • Produce brand plans on an annual basis, complete with objectives and ensure organizational understanding and monitor execution
  • Ensure all brand development is based on data and evidence gleaned from reliable and recognized sources
  • Develop an innovative pipeline for brand based on market and consumer understanding
  • Good working relationship with Marketing Manager ensuring clear and concise communication
  • Collaborative work ethic with colleagues inside and outside of department

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Commerce or MBA

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years in a Brand Marketing position within the FMCG market, preferably beverages, exposure to brand strategy, understanding of brand financials, execution of brand strategy
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing Communications strategy and insight led marketing
  • Valid drivers license
  • Exposure to Brand strategy and understanding of brand financials
  • Marketing and Negotiation skills
  • Brand Activation/Promotion Skills
  • Analytical skills for data and research, project management and strategy development
  • Problem Solving and Results/Target Orientated
  • Advanced Microsoft software skills
  • Self- starter, creative thinker
