COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

Our client is a leading environmental management and products company that supplies dust suppression, fire suppression and planting solutions across various industries. They are looking for a Payroll and HR Administrator to join their team as soon as possible.

JOB DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and manage monthly payroll processes for 150-200 employees.
  • Gather all payroll related data.
  • PAYE reconciliation and submission of EMP201 monthly on E-Filing.
  • EMP501 reconciliation on Easy File (Bi-Annual submission - August & Year end submission - February)
  • Monthly salary journals to be performed on SAGE Evolution.
  • Create and consolidate salary sheets and reports.
  • Manage, maintain and update payroll data.
  • UIF submissions and management.
  • U-Filing to be updated with terminations of employees and new employees.
  • Good understanding of Employee benefits (medical scheme, retirement fund, group risk)
  • Answer employees queries about HR-related issues.
  • Assist with Employment Equity submissions and minutes of meetings.
  • Assist with Workplace skills plan and annual training report.
  • Maintain personal files to ensure the availability of information and data.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant National Diploma / Degree (HR / Payroll related)

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 2 - 3 payroll experience
  • Sage 300 people experience
  • Good understanding of HR policies, procedures and legislation
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail
  • Be able to deal with confidential matters with integrity
