Description
Our Client is seeking a full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible General Gastroenterologist to join a growing gastroenterology practice in Boston, MA. This position includes both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities within a community-based setting supported by the resources of a major academic medical center.
The physician will provide comprehensive gastrointestinal care, perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, and manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic gastrointestinal disorders.
Must Haves / Requirements – Must-Haves

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Completion of ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology fellowship

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Massachusetts
Job Description
Clinical Responsibilities
-
Provide outpatient gastroenterology services
-
Provide inpatient consultative gastroenterology care
-
Perform upper endoscopy (esophagogastroduodenoscopy / EGD)

Perform colonoscopy procedures
-
Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal disorders including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), liver disease, hepatology conditions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and other digestive system disorders

Participate in rotating inpatient call coverage schedule

Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical team including advanced practice providers (NP/PA), registered nurses, anesthesiology, and specialty consultants

Refer advanced cases as appropriate
