We are seeking two growth-minded Swing Shift Production Supervisors to drive operational excellence in our San Leandro plant. This is a central leadership role designed for a "boots-on-the-ground" professional who excels at coaching diverse teams, hitting aggressive KPIs, and maintaining world-class food safety standards.

Your Impact & Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead shift-start meetings, conduct floor walk-throughs, and provide real-time coaching to hourly associates to ensure peak performance and professional development.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily production activities, monitor line efficiency, and partner with Maintenance and QA to rapidly resolve equipment or process bottlenecks.
  • Quality & Safety First: Champion a culture of safety by leading incident investigations and ensuring 100% compliance with GMP, HACCP, and strict sanitation protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support the execution of plant-wide improvement projects (WIGs) and use Lean methodologies to eliminate variances in production metrics.
  • Administrative Excellence: Manage shift handoffs, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain SOX compliance documentation to provide a seamless transition between production cycles.

Must Haves / Requirements Summary

  • Experience: 4+ years of supervisory experience specifically within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Lean Expertise: At least 1 year of hands-on experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Labor Relations: Proven ability to effectively lead and direct a diverse, unionized workforce.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and industrial safety programs.
  • Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills for reporting and team briefings.
  • Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24-hour facility with varying temperatures (including cold storage areas) and strict hygiene requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Dairy processing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong history of mentoring and developing hourly workers.
