Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Pay Rate: $57.62 – $59.62 per hour

Position Overview
An established healthcare organization seeks an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 90-day onsite contract in Des Moines, Iowa. This critical care role supports a high-acuity unit caring for medically complex and hemodynamically unstable patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside care for critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Perform continuous assessment and monitoring of hemodynamic status, ventilator management, and critical drips
• Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, blood products, and complex IV therapies per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families on conditions, procedures, and discharge planning

Requirements

• Active RN license in good standing (compact or Iowa)
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU/critical care RN experience
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Proficiency with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive drips
• Must reside 60+ miles from facility (travel assignment requirement)

Preferred Qualifications

• CCRN certification
• Experience with CRRT, IABP, or ECMO
• Epic or Cerner EHR experience
