GIS Architect
Location: Dallas, Texas
Pay Rate: $80.00 per hour

Position Overview
A global technology and consulting organization seeks a GIS Architect for a six-month onsite contract in Dallas, Texas. This role leads the design and implementation of enterprise geographic information systems solutions for large-scale clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end GIS solutions including spatial data models, system integrations, and visualization layers
• Lead technical design sessions and translate business requirements into GIS architecture
• Integrate GIS platforms with enterprise data warehouses, APIs, and cloud environments
• Define GIS standards, data governance practices, and best-use guidelines
• Provide technical leadership to GIS development and analysis teams
• Support spatial data quality initiatives and performance optimization

Requirements

• 7+ years of GIS experience, including enterprise-level architecture and implementation
• Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS platform (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, or ArcGIS Online)
• Experience with spatial database design (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, or similar)
• Strong understanding of geospatial data standards and formats
• Ability to work onsite in Dallas, TX

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based GIS deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• ESRI certification (Desktop, Developer, or Enterprise)
• Background in geospatial data science or location intelligence
