Position Overview
A large, integrated healthcare system is seeking a certified Cath Lab Technologist to support a high-volume cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology program. The ideal candidate brings strong cardiovascular procedural skills, current RCIS or RCES certification, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity interventional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, PCI, and EP procedures
- Operate hemodynamic monitoring equipment, imaging systems, and cath lab technology
- Prepare sterile fields, instruments, and catheters in advance of procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data throughout procedures and report changes to the care team
- Manage and operate contrast injectors, IABP, and other specialized cardiovascular equipment
- Document procedures accurately in the electronic health record
- Participate in on-call rotations to support emergent cardiovascular cases
Requirements
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) certification required
- 1+ years of cath lab or cardiovascular invasive procedure experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to work onsite in Happy Valley, OR on a full-time, permanent basis
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in both diagnostic cath and interventional (PCI, structural heart) procedures
- EP lab or ablation procedure experience
- Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring platforms (Philips, GE, Siemens)
- Experience with TAVR, Watchman, or other structural heart device procedures
