Core Responsibilities
  • Manage and review federal and state corporate income tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to corporate clients, identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities while maintaining full regulatory compliance
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax associates and senior associates, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development support
  • Oversee tax provision calculations and ASC 740 analyses for clients with complex financial reporting requirements
  • Research and analyze evolving federal and state tax legislation, communicating implications clearly to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Manage client relationships proactively, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for tax matters
  • Coordinate with audit and advisory teams to deliver integrated, seamless service solutions to clients
  • Review and respond to IRS and state tax authority notices and manage examination processes as needed
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, including proposal preparation, networking, and identifying expansion opportunities within existing client relationships

Must-Have Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is required; Master's degree in Taxation strongly preferred
  • Active CPA license is required
  • Minimum of six years of progressive corporate tax experience, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
  • Strong technical proficiency in federal and multi-state corporate income taxation
  • Demonstrated experience with ASC 740 income tax accounting and tax provision preparation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex tax concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain composure in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Proficiency with leading tax software platforms such as CCH Axcess, GoSystem, or comparable applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and genuine commitment to client service excellence
