Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Shift: 3rd Shift, 11 PM to 7 AM
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician II to support our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of multi-craft maintenance activities with a focus on reliability and maintainability. The Maintenance Technician will work on ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, and other production machinery. Additionally, this position offers opportunities to be a key player in process improvement and problem-solving teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using systematic and logical methodologies to ensure minimal downtime.
- Install and perform alignment on mechanical drive systems.
- Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks, including major services and overhauls.
- Replace failed parts or components and make necessary adjustments to bring equipment back to operational specifications.
- Maintain machinery lubrication and replace worn-out parts to prevent malfunction.
- Recommend improvements in processes and procedures based on equipment behavior and performance.
- Conduct electrical testing on systems using tools such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to ensure safe operation.
- Install, replace, and repair electrical wiring, switch boxes, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
- Maintain up-to-date maintenance records, ensuring all repairs and activities are documented properly.
- Train and mentor junior technicians and operators on proper equipment maintenance and safety practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong mechanical and electrical background.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Experience with shop equipment such as drill presses, band saws, and portable power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments.
- 2-year technical degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing or comparable skills required.
- Certification in maintenance or specialized fields (preferred but not required).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain high levels of organization and efficiency.
Safety Requirements:
- Follow all prescribed safety protocols to prevent injury and maintain a safe work environment.
- Report any accidents, incidents, injuries, or unsafe acts immediately to the supervisor.
- Adhere to company environmental rules/procedures to minimize environmental impact.
Physical/Environmental Demands:
- Ability to work safely in an industrial maintenance environment.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in varying conditions (temperature, noise, etc.)
Quality Standards:
- Maintain a positive attitude and be proactive in staying up-to-date with maintenance procedures and equipment technologies.
- Complete the annual Maintenance Skills Assessment and participate in assigned training based on results.
