Compensation: $57,935 - $99,216 per year
Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for their busy 15-bed Emergency Department in Elko, NV. The department cares for a diverse patient population ranging from geriatric to neonatal. The position offers various shifts, including Day, Mid, and Night shifts, with predominantly 12-hour shifts, though the schedule may change based on the needs of the department. The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team of 2-4 Registered Nurses and Physicians in a fast-paced environment, treating an average of 65 patients per day and approximately 25,000 patients annually. The ideal candidate will have critical care experience and a strong desire to contribute to a team-oriented environment while providing high-quality emergency care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency care to patients in a 15-bed Emergency Department.
- Work with a team of RNs and Physicians to deliver high-quality, efficient care to a diverse patient population.
- Maintain a 1:5 patient ratio in a fast-paced environment, averaging 65 patients per day.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on established nursing protocols.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Communicate with patients and families regarding treatment plans and healthcare information.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with nursing practices and certifications.
- Document all patient interactions and care according to hospital policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Associates degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Experience: Previous critical care or emergency care experience preferred.
- License: Current RN license in the state of Nevada required.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 14 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
