We're seeking a highly organized and experienced Nursing/House Supervisor to join our client's team!

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading and overseeing a team of nursing personnel by providing coaching, guidance, and support.
  • Ensuring quality and regulatory compliance through active participation in QA/PI projects and adherence to ORHC infection control protocols.
  • Promoting a positive and collaborative work environment by setting a good example, fostering teamwork, and addressing staff concerns.
  • Scheduling and staffing the unit to meet patient needs and departmental requirements.
  • Identifying and escalating quality improvement (QI), risk, and safety concerns to appropriate directors and departments.
  • Completing documentation accurately and promptly, including variance reports and statements of concern.
  • Contributing to patient-centered care by ensuring whiteboards and other patient satisfaction measures are utilized.
  • Handling emergencies effectively by following hospital protocols (HICs, NIMS) and notifying administrators as necessary.
  • Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Serving as a resource to solve problems for staff and patients.
  • Upholding the hospital's mission by acting as a positive ambassador and demonstrating compassion, integrity, and excellence.

To be successful, you'll possess:

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing school (ADN/Diploma with 2-3 years of management experience or BSN preferred).
  • Experience: 2-3 years of previous nursing management experience with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in acute care.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to prioritize tasks, address issues, and make sound decisions.
    • Commitment to quality and compliance with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
