Are you passionate about helping others and have a knack for medical collections? We're looking for a skilled Patient Account Specialist  to join our client's team on an onsite, temp-to-perm basis. You'll play a vital role in resolving accounts and ensuring patient and client satisfaction. If you have experience in medical collections and are ready for a rewarding challenge, we want to hear from you! Experience with hospital Insurance claims, follow up and denials/resolutions. Responsible for performing billing, A/R follow-up and credit balance resolution activities which result in claim payment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective Collections: Successfully recover accounts in line with client and state guidelines.
  • Accurate Documentation: Keep patient account information updated timely and precisely.
  • Patient & Carrier Communication: Handle inbound calls professionally, resolving account inquiries and issues.
  • Goal Achievement: Use collection tools to meet or exceed recovery goals and standards.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve account issues promptly and accurately.
  • Daily Productivity: Consistently meet daily productivity standards.
  • Positive Patient Relations: Communicate respectfully with patients and their families.
  • Special Projects: Take on assigned special projects, showcasing versatility.

Qualifications:

  • Healthcare Experience: Minimum of 2 years in insurance billing, collections, payment, reimbursement verification, and/or refunds.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in a multi-facility hospital business office is a plus.
