Position Overview
Our client is hiring CDL-A drivers for a dedicated big-box retail account operating out of Baltimore, Maryland. Freight on this fleet is dry van and refrigerated, no-touch, running PA, DE, NY, NJ, WV, VA, NC and Washington DC — with no deliveries into New York City or the boroughs. Home time is weekly, which makes this a strong fit for drivers who want a predictable routine and a consistent paycheck rather than long, open-ended stretches on the road.

Key Responsibilities

• You will operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and legally at all times, completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitoring your hours of service, and keeping your logs accurate and current in accordance with federal regulations and company policy
• You will transport freight on schedule across PA, DE, NY, NJ, WV, VA, NC and Washington DC — with no deliveries into New York City or the boroughs, following assigned routes, planning fuel and rest stops sensibly, and communicating proactively with your fleet manager when weather, traffic, or a customer delay puts a delivery window at risk
• This is a no-touch, live load-unload and drop-and-hook account
• Drivers average 1,900 miles per week
• With 15 openings this is one of the larger hiring needs on the list
• You will verify load counts, seals, and paperwork at pickup and delivery, secure freight correctly for transit, and complete bills of lading and delivery documentation accurately so the customer's records and yours agree
• You will represent our client professionally at every customer location, maintain the condition and cleanliness of your assigned equipment, and report mechanical issues promptly so they are addressed before they become a breakdown

Requirements

• A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License is required, along with a minimum of 3 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
• You must meet all Department of Transportation qualification requirements and hold a current DOT medical certification
• An acceptable motor vehicle record and safety history are required
• You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with all federal testing requirements throughout your employment
• Hiring within 200 miles of Baltimore, MD
• Drivers need their own transportation to work, and trucks are parked at the distribution center

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior refrigerated experience is strongly preferred
• Comfort managing reefer units, monitoring temperature settings, and recognizing a problem before it becomes a claim matters on this freight
• A clean safety record, consistent on-time performance, and a track record of steady tenure with previous carriers all strengthen an application
• Drivers who communicate well with dispatch, handle customer contact professionally, and take care of their equipment tend to do well on dedicated accounts like this one
