Position Overview
A defense and national security contractor is seeking a skilled Spanish Linguist with an active Secret clearance to support critical language-enabled missions. The ideal candidate is a native or near-native Spanish speaker with experience in translation, interpretation, or transcription within a government or military context. Key Responsibilities

• Perform translation, transcription, and interpretation of Spanish-language materials and communications
• Support real-time interpretation for personnel during operations, meetings, interviews, and sensitive interactions
• Analyze and summarize foreign language materials for reporting and intelligence purposes
• Ensure accuracy, context, and cultural nuance in all translated and interpreted materials
• Maintain strict adherence to classification protocols and information security standards at all times
• Collaborate with intelligence analysts, operators, and government customers to support mission requirements
• Produce clear, accurate written reports and translation products on tight timelines
• Review and quality-check language products produced by other linguists as needed
• Stay current with evolving language requirements, regional dialects, and cultural developments relevant to mission areas
• Participate in mission planning activities and provide language support as directed by the government customer

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required — must be current and in-scope
• Native or near-native Spanish proficiency required — reading, writing, listening, and speaking
• Minimum of 2 years of translation, interpretation, or transcription experience in a government, military, or intelligence context preferred
• Strong written English skills for producing accurate, professional intelligence products and reports
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy in a time-sensitive operational environment
• Familiarity with DLPT or ILR language proficiency standards preferred
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a related field is preferred
