Core Responsibilities
- Lead respiratory therapy operations across critical care, emergency, and inpatient units
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and productivity for respiratory therapists
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and state standards
- Oversee ventilator management protocols and equipment maintenance
- Hire, train, and evaluate staff and validate clinical competencies
- Manage the department budget, supplies, and capital equipment needs
- Partner with physicians and nursing on quality and patient outcomes
- Active California Respiratory Care Practitioner license
- RRT credential from the NBRC
- Solid acute care respiratory therapy experience
- Prior supervisory or management experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong leadership, budgeting, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy or health administration
- Critical care or neonatal respiratory specialty credential
- Experience with union-represented staff
- Experience within a large integrated health system
- Quality improvement project leadership
- Pay: $191,000 – $222,000 per year
