Folder Gluer Operator

Position Overview

A leading specialty packaging manufacturer is seeking experienced Folder Gluer Operators to join their production team. The ideal candidates bring hands-on folder gluer experience, a strong attention to quality, and a commitment to safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust folder gluer equipment to produce carton packaging within specification
• Perform makeready and changeovers between job runs with minimal downtime
• Conduct quality checks throughout production runs to ensure dimensional accuracy, glue adhesion, and print alignment
• Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to maintain production speed and quality
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor mechanical troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate production records and report downtime or defect issues to supervisors
• Adhere to all safety protocols, 5S standards, and GMP requirements on the production floor

Requirements

• 1+ years of folder gluer operation experience in a packaging or printing environment
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, machine settings, and quality specifications
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort making hands-on machine adjustments
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Availability to work assigned shift (day, evening, or night as required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-speed folder gluers (Bobst, Heidelberg, Brausse, or similar)
• Familiarity with specialty carton or folding carton production processes
• Experience in a lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environment
• Forklift certification a plus
