Location: Newport News, VA, United States
Pay Rate: $95,000 – $115,000 per year

Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Senior Mechanical Estimator – HVAC, Plumbing & Piping for an opportunity in Newport News, VA, United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical Piping estimates from conceptual design to final bid
• Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents to develop competitive pricing strategies
• Perform design calculations and assist with equipment and material selections
• Identify labor factors, contingencies, and cost-saving opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and project owners
• Review vendor and subcontractor quotes and incorporate them into final estimates
• Attend pre-bid meetings, turnover meetings, and project setup meetings
• Develop labor budgets for awarded projects
• Help mentor and supervise Estimator Trainees
• Support bid tracking, bid reviews, bid bonds, and drawing procurement
