About the job Cyber Security Engineer
The Cyber Security Engineer is a key member of the Team, providing technical expertise and support on a wide range of cyber security projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT field and an in-depth understanding of cyber security concepts, techniques, and technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage secure networks and systems for government agencies and contractors.
Develop and maintain security architectures, security policies, and security standards.
Monitor networks and systems for security threats and vulnerabilities, and develop solutions to mitigate or eliminate risks.
Monitor and investigate security incidents, analyze forensic evidence, and recommend remedial measures.
Perform security assessments and audits of systems, applications, networks, and databases.
Research and evaluate emerging cyber security technologies to recommend solutions that can improve security posture.
Educate and train users and personnel on security policies, best practices, and procedures.
Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation for all security systems and processes.
Remain abreast of the latest cyber security trends and threats.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in the IT field, specializing in cyber security.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of cyber security principles and technologies.
Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
Experience with cloud security technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
