Job Description:

India Leaders for Social Sector (ILSS) is a nonprofit that aims to be India's preeminent leadership development organisation for the social sector. We aim to increase the effectiveness of the top 1000 nonprofits in the sector to create catalytic impact at scale.

Overview

To achieve the mission, ILSS has a three-pronged approach:

  • Bringing corporate talent into leadership and board positions in the social sector
  • Running well-researched capacity-building programs in critical domains for the social sector
  • Building the social sector ecosystem to instil a strong focus on high-quality talent

ILSS operates through five core areas Leadership, Governance, Talent, Digital Transformation, and Fundraising via its four Centres of Excellence (CoE) and the People Practices Program:

  • Centre of Excellence for Leadership: Develops future leaders through programs such as the Leadership Program, Emerging Women Leaders Program, and Young Leaders Program, along with mentorship and thought leadership forums
  • Centre of Excellence for Board Governance: Enhances governance practices with training modules, advisory services, and programs such as the Board Leadership Program and Board Governance Program
  • Centre of Excellence for Fundraising: Supports fundraising professionals with resources, training, and networking through the ILSS Fundraising Program
  • Centre of Excellence for Digital Transformation: Empowers SPOs to drive catalytic impact at scale by crafting their own digital transformation journey, through a holistic understanding of the art of the possible with digital transformation (DT), industry's best practices and expert mentorship
  • Other Programs and Events: The ILSS People Practices Program enables organisation leaders in the sector to prioritize wholesome people practices, building the organisations capabilities, growth prospects, and sustainability in the long run. ILSS also hosts sector- wide conferences, including the India Fundraising Conference, to foster dialogue and collaboration

Since 2017, ILSS has built a community of more than 1000 mid-to-senior leaders and have worked across more than 350 social purpose organisations.

Job Title: Program Manager - DT CoE

Location: Delhi NCR Region

Position Summary:

ILSS is seeking a dedicated Program Manager to contribute to our Digital Transformation for Social Impact (DTSI) program. This role entails active involvement in the end-to-end process of the DTSI Program launch and implementation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with adynamic, entrepreneurial team, and is ideal for individuals passionate about leadership and impact in the social sector.

Objectives of the Role:

  • Lead the smooth execution of the DTSI Program
  • Support the centre in the communication and outreach cycles for each cohort
  • Stakeholder engagement related to the program

Key Responsibilities: 

The responsibilities of Program Manager include but are not limited to the following:

Operations

  • Manage logistics, including the activity calendar; coordinating with the Program Faculty and, posting assignments, notes and/or session material on the Learning Management Platform
  • Attend Program Sessions and maintain comprehensive notes
  • Track and record the submission of assignments and feedback by the program participants

Content Development

  • Prepare materials for program participants.
  • Develop post-program impact reports

Others

  • Support team tasks related to program outreach, candidate selection and communications
  • Create communication materials such as articles for publication, alumni impact journey

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Graduate in any stream with 4-6 years of experience
  • Exposure to the Social sector would be an advantage
  • Prior exposure to the technology sector (Education / Experience is strongly preferred)

Skills and Attributes

  • Proficient in project management, research methods, with strong attention to detail.
  • Networking and interpersonal skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills (including editing and proofreading abilities.)
  • Ability to design, create and deliver presentations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, familiarity with AI tools is an advantage
  • Openness to learning and feedback.
