The Convergence Foundation (TCF) is an Indian philanthropic foundation dedicated to catalysing rapid and sustained economic growth to enhance the lives of all Indians. Established by Ashish and Manisha Dhawan in April 2021, TCF builds on their legacy of impactful philanthropy, including the founding of transformative institutions like Ashoka University and the Central Square Foundation.

Position Summary
The Strategic Communications team at TCF is a lean, self-driven group that creates and implements communication strategies for TCF and its portfolio organisations. This person will manage a team of one member and will also be responsible for developing creative content and managing digital assets, including the website, social media accounts, and newsletters. The role involves executing strategic campaigns, measuring their effectiveness, and refining approaches to maximise impact. Additionally, the Team Lead/ Sr. Program Manager will manage and coordinate with external partners like PR and social media agencies, manage knowledge and insights to inform strategies, and ensure high-quality, consistent brand messaging across all channels. Reporting to the Head- Strategic Communications, the ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
The core focus of this role is to work with leadership teams across portfolio organisations to design and execute strategic communication plans start to end. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Strategic Marketing & Communications:
- Market Insights & Strategy: Analyse the latest economic growth, development trends and philanthropic initiatives in India to generate actionable insights for TCF and our partner organisations. Develop tailored marketing strategies that resonate with distinct target audiences, ensuring relevance and differentiation in a dynamic and evolving landscape
- Campaign Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies across digital, social, email, events, and PR. Drive high-impact campaigns to achieve key targets like applications, registrations, and enrollments.
- Brand Building & Stakeholder Engagement: Lead communication efforts to raise awareness and build brand salience through media roundtables, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
2. Digital Marketing & Optimization:
- Content & Performance: Create annual plans with budgets and metrics to enhance digital presence. Oversee content creation and storytelling, and optimize campaigns based on performance data.
- Analytics & Reporting: Measure campaign effectiveness and adjust strategies in real-time to maximise ROI.
3. Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team with expertise in digital and communications. Guide brand strategy and storytelling efforts.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with leadership to develop communication assets (e.g., brand guidelines, social media strategy) and support cross-portfolio initiatives.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
- 8-10 years of experience with a masters degree in marketing, communications or related fields from a reputed institution
- Exceptional writing, editing, and creative management skills, and mastery of key principles for communicating academic research, with accuracy, in ways that non-technical audiences can understand
- Strategic thinker and committed leader who can design effective processes to communicate research insights in a manner that increases its prominence among public, practitioners, and policymakers
- Project management skills, including attention to operational and creative details, and ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
- Expertise in overseeing content production, including design, video, social media podcasts, and newsletters
- Track record of building the capacity of colleagues through workshops and one-to-one support
- Personal attributes of curiosity and a love for learning, self-awareness, and humility

Compensation
Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay scales and will depend upon the candidates experience.
