About TIF

The Infravision Foundation is an advocacy thinktank focused on transforming infrastructure for cities, public transport, agriculture, healthcare and energy. TIF regularly produces evidence on subjects that require greater attention from policy makers and administrators in government and the private sector. We also undertake evaluations of government-led infrastructure programmes.

TIF pursues impactful advocacy through convening of experts and practitioners, op-ed articles, publications (studies, reports, newsletter), digital outreach and social media. TIF has also developed the InfraKatha series and the InfraShakti Awards. The TIF website is being developed as an important platform for advocacy on infrastructure policy and programming. Communication is the key enabler of TIFs work.

TIF partners with reputed third-party agencies for research and delivery of reports and other collateral. Partnerships are key to achieve the scale and scope of advocacy that the infrastructure sector deserves. It is very important that the advocacy narrative is managed carefully throughout the lifecycle, as it must keep abreast of shifts in the infrastructure sector.

The Communications Manager

TIF is looking for an exceptional Communications Manager with an active interest in advocacy and proven ability to convert evidence into inspiring messages and narratives for change. The candidate must have experience of working with and managing social media, including organization websites and other platforms. A high level of competence is required in the creation of collaterals for use on social media, such as slide decks, posters, flyers, etc. Working knowledge of graphic design software, visualization software, GIS, Power Point and other. and a mature sense of aesthetics is desirable.

The Communications Manager will work in close coordination with other teams involved in research, analysis, fieldwork, presentations, and related tasks, and the production of excellent outputs. The candidate should have experience in working with public policy, ideally in the infrastructure or urban sector.

Working at TIF will give the incumbent an opportunity to sharpen her/his understanding and ability to engage with the sector. The role will also give the incumbent experience of organization development, fundraising and advocacy, especially through CSR.

Minimum Qualifications

B.A. in English or Media & Communications or equivalent subject

M.A. in Media & Communications is desirable

Minimum 7 years of handling media & communications in a reputed organization Minimum 3 years of exposure to the infrastructure and urban sectors Understands the bigger picture of why infrastructure matters to India and its citizens

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with the profile of the candidate and industry standards.

Duration of appointment

Initial duration of recruitment will be 6 months. Extension of term will be considered after appraisal of performance.
