Salary: AUD 70,000 per annum

Location: Melbourne, Australia

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and design of all food menus, ensuring each dish meets our high standards of quality and reflects our commitment to culinary excellence.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative dishes that maintain the integrity and ethos of our premium dining experience.
  • Manage and train kitchen staff on the station, ensuring a high level of performance, consistency, and dedication.
  • Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely manner that meets our quality standards.
  • Manage ingredients that are in line with our commitment to sustainability and high-quality produce.
  • Resolve any issues that arise and implement improvements to kitchen operations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef De Partie in a busy, premium restaurant environment (Michelin / Rosette standard)
  • A solid understanding of various European cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Excellent record of kitchen management and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent professional experience.
  • A passion for food and a creative flair, with the ability to contribute to menu development.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in training and motivating kitchen staff.
  • Willingness to relocate to Melbourne, Australia.
