Senior Sous Chef - Chinese Cuisine

We are on the lookout for a talented Sous Chef / Senior Sous Chef with a strong background in Chinese/Cantonese cuisine, to join an exciting new restaurant in Central London. 

Our client is a highly regarded establishment, blending traditional Chinese flavours with a modern twist, and offers a unique dining experience that's gaining popularity in the London food scene.

If you're passionate about Chinese Cuisine, have extensive experience on cantonese style woks, have an in-depth knowledge of Dim Sum and are eager to lead and inspire a team, this could be the perfect opportunity. 

You'll work closely with the Head Chef and play a pivotal role in developing and mentoring junior chefs, so if you thrive on sharing your skills and knowledge, wed love to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Overseeing the Entire kitchen, from wok station to Dim Sum and ensuring all dishes, meet the highest standards of Chinese/Cantonese cuisine.
• Supporting the Head Chef in delivering an exceptional menu, maintaining quality and consistency.
• Training and developing junior chefs, sharing your expertise in wok cooking and Dim Sum techniques.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety.
• Assisting with menu development and introducing innovative ideas that fit the restaurant's vision.
• involved in new openings as the business grows

What Were Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a Chinese/Cantonese kitchen
• amazing skills on the wok and a solid understanding of traditional techniques alongside knowledge of Dim Sum
• Strong leadership skills and a passion for teaching and developing junior chefs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• A genuine love for Chinese cuisine, and a desire to create dishes that leave an impression.
• Valid passport and Good level of english where you are able exceed the minimum standard for a UK skilled Worker Visa
