We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef with deep knowledge of Mediterranean and European pastry traditions. This exciting role is based at a prestigious hotel in Malta, where you will lead pastry operations not only for the hotel but also for 3-5 upscale dining venues across the island, ranging from casual eateries to fine dining establishments and an all-inclusive resort.

You will oversee a skilled team of five to seven Pastry Chefs, ensuring every dessert is crafted to perfection. Experience in production-style environments such as Central Production Units, cruise ships, or resort-style hotels, combined with fine dining expertise, is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and perfect a range of pastries and desserts inspired by Mediterranean and European cuisines.
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across multiple outlets.
• Collaborate closely with the culinary team to design dessert menus that enhance the overall dining experience.
• Ensure top-tier standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Lead, inspire, and develop a team of five to seven Pastry Chefs.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef specializing in Mediterranean or European desserts.
• Background in production-style kitchens (e.g., Central Production Units, cruise ships, resort hotels) and fine dining establishments.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• A creative portfolio demonstrating your pastry innovation and expertise.
