Deputy Head of IT/System Engineer

Overview:

Our client, a reputable healthcare institution, is seeking a dedicated Deputy Head of IT/System Engineer to manage and optimize their IT operations. This position is critical, as IT is integral to all core processes within the healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the seamless, secure, and cost-effective operation of IT systems.
• Implement the IT strategy in alignment with the organization's roadmap.
• Serve as the primary interface between business operations and IT.
• Provide 2nd level support for technical inquiries related to internal applications.
• Coordinate and oversee the execution of work packages with specialist departments and external partners.
• Lead and support various IT projects.
• Advise stakeholders on IT solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain and develop existing .NET applications (C#).

Required Skills and Experience:

• Advanced education in ICT.
• Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure in a medium-sized organization (VMware ESXi, Horizon, HPE network).
• Experience in 2nd or 3rd level IT support.
• Strong analytical skills with a methodical and structured approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills, tailored to diverse audiences.
• Customer-focused, team-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with Windows Server.
• Proficiency in .NET application development(desirable).
• Familiarity with the healthcare environment is desirable.
• Experience with applications such as Orchestra, GE RIS/PACS, PRTG, and SonicWall is advantageous.
