Position Overview
The Quality and Risk Manager is responsible for identifying potential risk exposure the Arc of Greater New Orleans may face and how it will impact internal, financial, and programmatic operations. This role offers guidance to senior leadership regarding financial and legal risk management. The manager is also focused on ensuring the quality of the services delivered is adequate according to our regulatory bodies and is responsible for developing initiatives to measure and assess program quality consistently. This role is responsible for remaining knowledgeable on all regulations that directly impact the successful operation of the Arc of Greater New Orleans.
Essential Job Functions
Ensure general compliance with all regulatory bodies including OCDD (Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities), OAAS (Office of Aging Adult Services), CARF, DOTD, CMS,
Develop strategic plans to assess risk and exposure in legal and financial matters for the Arc of Greater New Orleans
Draft, review, and publish agency policy to align with compliance standards for regulatory bodies
Implement an audit program for programmatic compliance held at a regular interval
Advise senior leadership and program leaders on potential risks and assist in developing strategies to overcome them
Partner with the Clinical Director to assess the effectiveness of new hire training and ongoing professional development as it relates to regulatory compliance
Establishes and maintains planning, coordination, and execution of regulatory compliance activities to support all departments, emphasizing proactive measures
Provide on-site training to staff on confidentiality, ethics, documentation standards, and emergency response including tropical preparedness, fire preparedness, and general agency safety
Update and maintain the efficacy of the agency’s ethical policies and practices

Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, social work, public health, behavioral health, business, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities required
Minimum of 2-5 years in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs in a home and community-based setting
Strong knowledge of CARF, LDH, and Medicaid/Medicare waiver rules
Experience with accreditation processes (CARF, Joint Commission, or similar organizations)
Certified Risk Compliance Professional (CRCP) preferred
