Description
Seeking a Website & Tool Design Director for a cloud solutions contract supporting Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
The Website & Tool Design Director sets and communicates the creative and strategic vision and manages the design team for websites and enterprise applications, ensuring that all products and experiences are delivered on time, on budget, to the highest standards of quality, and in adherence with policies.
Responsibilities
- Create a compelling brand message across many mediums.
- Work on websites and set a layout which can easily guide site viewers to their destination while showing a brand's strength, which generates as much engagement as possible.
- Create desirable content.
- Assemble, support, and lead a team of other designers, ensuring a strong and consistent focus on the task.
- Collaborate with the client and customers at all times and help team members who seem to be struggling or behind in their tasks.
- Work within teams to ensure every member's success.
- Help unite the team's visions by creating space for everyone's voice and ideas.
- Use market research to design and market and to ensure choices are consistent with successful approaches.
- Create storyboards and mockups for the client and the design team to visualize the completed project.
- Pitch ideas and the creative vision to the client and communicate the project outline.
- Choosing the design elements for different projects.
- Oversee the design projects from start to finish and monitor the team members to ensure they adhere to the budget and timeline constraints.
- Review feedback and make alterations according to the needs.
- Solve problems that emerge.
- Navigate deadlines and budget restrictions.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in business, IT, or a related field and 10 years of experience or 13 years of experience with an associate degree.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.
- Experience managing technical/support teams.
- Experience utilizing service delivery in a government systems and services environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of collaborative tools like Atlassian, Mural, and Slack.
- Strong customer interaction/service skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to speak in a public forum.
- Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills; ability to interact effectively with others.
Desired
- Cloud (AWS and MAG) familiarity
- Experience with federal contracts and projects
- 3 years experience with CMS
- Worked in SAFe Agile methodology
