Description

Seeking a Lead Delivery Manager/Deputy Program Manager for a cloud solutions contract supporting Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

The Lead Delivery Manager/Deputy Program Manager oversees the successful execution of the program/contract, ensuring timely delivery by managing the team, resources, budget, and risks while closely collaborating with stakeholders to meet project goals and client expectations. They will establish, refine, and oversee IT service delivery to internal and external customers and ensure policies and processes are in place to deliver consistent, efficient, and effective services. The Lead Delivery Manager/Deputy Program Manager engages customers, evaluates their feedback, and develops quality improvement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer relationships and foster continuous improvement across all task areas.
  • Responsible for management across a single program or a program with multiple related projects or a portfolio of projects.
  • Planning, organizing, and overseeing the completion of program-level goals and objectives.
  • Duties may include ensuring that all projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Capture project requirements, track, and report on status.
  • Ensure that project work is executed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Manage customer contacts, communications, and workflows.
  • Prepare and organize playbooks, SOPs, guidance, etc. documentation for the program.
  • Manage the creation, storage, and delivery of contractually required technical documentation.
  • Assist in various ongoing tasks and tracking for employee onboarding, customer clearances, compliance, and training.
  • Identify and manage projects for process improvements in multiple areas of the program.
  • Analyze and manage variances between planned and actual costs, ensuring alignment with organizational budgets and goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business, IT, or a related field and 7 years of experience or 10 years of experience with an associate degree.
  • PMP and/or Agile certified (Product Manager, Delivery Manager, or Scrum Master).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based HR technologies, including AWS.
  • Experience managing technical/support teams.
  • Experience utilizing IT service planning.
  • Experience performing in medium to large-scale operations of IT Service Management.
  • Experience utilizing service delivery in a government systems and services environment.
  • Experience utilizing Agile development, DevOps, and knowledge management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of collaborative tools like Atlassian, Mural, and Slack.
  • Strong customer interaction/service skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to speak in a public forum.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills; ability to interact effectively with others.

Desired

  • Cloud (AWS and MAG) familiarity
  • Experience with federal contracts and projects
  • 3 years experience with CMS
  • Worked in SAFe Agile methodology
  • ITIL certification
