About the job IBM ACE API Developer

As an IBM ACE API Developer, you will design, develop, and support enterprise integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and related technologies. You will take ownership of API development, system troubleshooting, and BAU support activities, ensuring stability and performance across critical interfaces.

What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed

  • Develop and maintain solutions using IBM ACE V12 and ACE Toolkit.
  • Work with IBM MQ V9 and MQ Explorer for messaging and integration.
  • Build and optimise ESQL and shell scripting components.
  • Contribute to Java/J2EE development in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Perform BAU tasks including log checks, error monitoring, and recovery of interfaces across ACE, MQ, and Oracle DB.
  • Develop RESTful APIs with strong expertise in design and implementation.
  • Apply knowledge of MQ messaging, file transfer protocols, and web service/API technologies.
  • Ensure stability and reliability of integration solutions through proactive troubleshooting and support.

Experience

  • You have 5–7 years of relevant experience in system development and integration.
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in computing or a related field.

Technical Expertise

  • You are proficient in IBM ACE V12, ACE Toolkit, IBM MQ V9, and MQ Explorer.
  • You are skilled in ESQL, shell scripting, and Java/J2EE development.
  • You have strong expertise in RESTful API development.
  • You have experience or knowledge of KONG Gateway.
  • You are familiar with MQ messaging, file transfer protocols, and web service/API technologies.
  • You are experienced in Unix/Linux operating environments.
