GPP Test Lead (Perm)

As a GPP Test Lead, you will oversee testing activities for payment systems and core banking applications, with a focus on the GPP‑SP platform. You will lead test planning, execution, defect management, and automation initiatives while collaborating with stakeholders across business, technology, and vendor teams to ensure high‑quality delivery.

What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed

Functional Testing & Payments Expertise

• Lead testing efforts for international and domestic payments on the GPP‑SP platform.
• Apply in‑depth knowledge of payment systems including ACH, Real‑Time Payments, FX, clearing and settlement, and payment hubs.
• Work with payment schemes such as SWIFT MT and ISO20022, with familiarity in Oracle DB concepts and GPP Fusion database structures.
• Utilise AI‑based testing approaches to enhance efficiency and coverage.

Test Planning & Execution

• Prepare test plans and lead module‑level planning and execution of test scripts.
• Review and maintain test artefacts across the SDLC.
• Manage RTM, review defects, and lead triage discussions with development and project teams.
• Apply both Waterfall and Agile methodologies across the testing lifecycle.
• Support performance and load testing activities.

Automation & Tools

• Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium.
• Use JIRA, Jenkins, and Selenium for defect tracking, CI/CD, and automation.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing practices and automation adoption.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with business users, technology partners, interface application teams, and global vendor/product teams.
• Provide clear communication and updates across global delivery teams.
• Manage multiple priorities with flexibility and problem‑solving skills.

We'd Love to Hear From You If...

Experience

• You have an engineering degree (Bachelor's/Master's) in Computing or a relevant field (e.g., B.Tech, B.E, MCA, M.Sc in Computers).
• You have 8–10 years of testing experience in GPP and core banking applications.
• You have strong functional knowledge of international and domestic payments.
• You have experience with payment schemes (SWIFT MT, ISO20022) and Oracle DB concepts.
• You have experience in test automation and performance testing.
• You have experience working in large global bank environments (advantageous).
• You have knowledge of Japanese local clearing (BOJ‑NET) and APAC domestic clearing systems (advantageous).

Technical Expertise

• You have complete SDLC understanding and experience in both Waterfall and Agile testing.
• You have hands‑on experience with JIRA, Jenkins, Selenium, and automation frameworks.
• You have knowledge of GPP Fusion database structures and OFS processing.
• You have knowledge of Japanese communication and APAC clearing systems (preferred).
