Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Core Banking system projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Drive project ceremonies and ensure adherence to the chosen methodology (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid). Scrum Master experience is a plus.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, QA, and infrastructure teams.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party service delivery for core banking solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and audit requirements.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate UAT and production deployment activities for core banking systems.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability.
  • Utilize JIRA and Confluence for project tracking, documentation, and collaboration.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 3 years in Financial Services; Core Banking experience is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of Core Banking systems, regulatory compliance, and risk management; Temenos T24 experience is an advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent; Scrum Master certification (CSM or PSM) is a plus.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale, complex IT projects involving system upgrades, migrations, or implementations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to mitigate risks/issues and propose alternative solutions effectively.
  • Hands-on expertise in work breakdown structures (WBS), Excel data analysis, and proficiency in JIRA and Confluence; ability to present options clearly using PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to consolidate information, centralize documentation, and drive stakeholder decision-making.
  • Knowledge of functional areas (e.g., Payments, Loans) or technical skills (e.g., architecture design, Java coding) is advantageous.
  • Experience in expense management, including run-rate tracking, costing, and resource planning, is essential.
  • Preferably based in Bangalore, with flexibility to visit the MGS office as required.

Below skills are advantageous but not Mandatory:

  • Expertise in Core Banking platforms (e.g., Temenos T24, Finacle, Flexcube).
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence (mandatory).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and data privacy standards in banking.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
