About the job Data Security Analyst

As a Data Security Analyst (AVP), you will safeguard the bank's data, ensuring it is securely handled, stored, and shared. You will focus on monitoring, detection, and investigation of data‑related security risks, including data loss, unauthorised access, and misuse across enterprise environments. You will play a key role in implementing and managing data security controls such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data classification, and monitoring capabilities to protect critical information.

What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed

Operational Monitoring & Incident Response

  • Conduct day‑to‑day security monitoring and BAU activities focused on data security controls.
  • Investigate and respond to data security incidents, alerts, and policy breaches.
  • Operate and enhance data protection capabilities across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.

Data Security Controls & Governance

  • Implement and manage DLP, data classification, and monitoring solutions.
  • Assess and oversee secure use of data within AI tools and platforms.
  • Support governance, risk, and compliance activities related to data security.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work with security engineering and architecture teams to provide operational insights.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data security controls, detection rules, and processes.
  • Enhance visibility and reduce risk across enterprise environments.

We'd Love to Hear From You If...

Experience

  • You have 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, specialising in data security, DLP, or insider threat detection.
  • You have hands‑on experience in DLP, data classification, and insider threat monitoring.
  • You have proven ability to triage, investigate, and respond to data security alerts.
  • You have experience operating and tuning DLP and classification tools in complex environments.

Technical Expertise

  • You understand data handling risks across endpoints, networks, and collaboration platforms.
  • You have exposure to cloud security concepts and CSPM tools.
  • You are aware of AI‑related data security risks.
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Risk Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
