As a Junior Tester / Test Coordinator, you will support testing activities across multiple business and technology teams within a banking environment. You will help coordinate stakeholders, track test progress, and ensure issues, defects, and project artefacts move forward in a timely manner. Your contribution will focus on test execution, coordination, and providing support to the Test Management team.


What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed

  • Coordinate testing activities across business users, developers, and test leads.
  • Monitor defect and issue tickets, follow up on items not progressing, and escalate concerns when needed.
  • Log defects and issues clearly, track their status, and support validation of fixes with the team.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist business users during execution.
  • Maintain basic testing documentation and provide updates on progress, risks, and open items.
  • Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely review, sign‑off, and approval of project documents and testing artefacts such as test plans, reports, and UAT sign‑offs.
  • Work closely with testers, business representatives, and project teams to keep testing activities on track.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Test Management team, including:
    • Updating test execution status, trackers, or dashboards
    • Assisting with test cycle preparation and close‑out activities
    • Organising test artefacts such as test cases, evidence, defect lists, and approval records
    • Preparing basic test reports or status summaries
    • Supporting coordination around test environments or schedules

Experience

  • You have around 1 year of experience or exposure to software testing, QA, UAT support, test coordination, or similar roles (including internships or project‑based work).
  • You have any exposure to banking or financial systems (advantage).
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred but not required).


Technical Expertise

  • You understand basic testing concepts such as test cases, defects, and retesting, or are willing to learn on the job.
  • You are familiar with issue tracking or task management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or spreadsheets (helpful but not mandatory).

  • You are comfortable following up, tracking open items, and working with different teams.
  • You communicate clearly and ask questions or seek clarification when needed.
  • You are motivated, proactive, and willing to work onsite daily.
