About the job Database Administrator - Mid
As a Mid-level Database Administrator, you will support database operations within an enterprise Office Collaboration and system administration environment. You will help maintain database availability, performance, security, and recoverability while supporting service requests, incident resolution, reporting, and platform stability.
What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed
- Administer and maintain databases supporting Office Collaboration and related enterprise services.
- Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and health to identify issues before they affect service delivery.
- Perform database troubleshooting, query analysis, and routine optimisation to support stable operations.
- Manage database backup, recovery, and restoration activities in line with operational requirements.
- Support database patching, configuration updates, access management, and security controls.
- Work with system administrators, infrastructure engineers, and NOC teams to investigate incidents and resolve database-related issues.
- Maintain database documentation, configuration records, operational procedures, and issue-resolution notes.
- Support reporting requirements by providing relevant database health, utilisation, and incident data.
- Follow change control, deployment, and operational processes to reduce risk and maintain service continuity.

Experience
- You have mid-level experience in database administration, production support, or database operations.
- You have supported databases in an enterprise infrastructure or managed services environment.
- You have experience working with incident, request, and change management processes.
Technical Expertise
- You have practical knowledge of database monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery, access management, and security practices.
- You are comfortable using SQL for troubleshooting, validation, and operational analysis.
- You understand how databases interact with infrastructure, applications, and enterprise services.

- You are analytical, detail-oriented, and careful when handling production systems.
- You document work clearly and follow agreed operational procedures.
- You collaborate effectively with infrastructure, application, and support teams to resolve issues and protect service stability.
