Role Overview

As the Lead Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle 10g), you will conduct deep technical analysis of Oracle 10g or comparable legacy Oracle database environments operating in live production. You will validate database operational posture, analyze workload behavior, and assess the reliability and stability of the database layer within mission-critical enterprise environments.


Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Performing technical assessments of Oracle 10g or comparable legacy Oracle database environments operating in production

  • Conducting locking and contention analysis within database workloads

  • Performing SQL workload characterization to understand performance behavior

  • Validating RMAN-based backup and recovery configurations

  • Reviewing patch application and change management practices

  • Assessing capacity monitoring practices and uptime management mechanisms within the database environment


Required Experience

The proposed Lead Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle 10g) must demonstrate:

  • Minimum seven (7) years of combined hands-on experience managing Oracle 10g or comparable legacy Oracle database environments in live production

OR demonstrable equivalent enterprise assessment experience of comparable scope and complexity.

  • Direct operational ownership in production environments (advisory-only roles shall not be considered equivalent)

Experience performing:

  • Locking and contention analysis

  • SQL workload characterization

  • RMAN-based backup and recovery validation

  • Patch application and change management

  • Capacity monitoring and uptime management
