About the job SAS QA& Validation Specialist
As a SAS QA and Validation Specialist, you will validate SAS generated outputs against actuarial expectations and support reconciliation and testing cycles. You will ensure data accuracy, calculation correctness, and alignment with business and actuarial requirements within IFRS17 or related reporting frameworks.
What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed
- Validate SAS outputs against actuarial expectations and predefined business rules.
- Support User Acceptance Testing, parallel runs, and reconciliation activities.
- Analyse defects to determine whether issues originate from data, SAS configuration, or actuarial logic.
- Collaborate with actuarial, finance, and IT teams to understand system outputs and testing requirements.
- Document testing results, discrepancies, and remediation steps.
- Ensure testing activities comply with regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to strengthen SAS output validation and testing processes.

Experience
- You have 5 to 8 years of experience in SAS QA, actuarial validation, or financial systems testing.
Technical Expertise
- You have hands‑on experience testing financial or actuarial systems.
- You are skilled in data reconciliation, validation, and defect analysis.
- You can troubleshoot and identify root causes across data, SAS configuration, or actuarial logic.
- You have experience supporting UAT and parallel run testing (advantage).
- You are familiar with IFRS17 processing, financial reporting, or actuarial calculations (advantage).
- You have experience with SAS macros, procedures, or data pipelines (advantage).
