About the job Assistant Company Secretary
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Company Secretary in the preparation and filing of statutory documents, such as annual reports, board resolutions, and other regulatory filings
- Maintain and update the company's statutory registers and records in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Coordinate and prepare agendas, meeting materials, and minutes for board and committee meetings
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including directors, shareholders, and regulators, on corporate governance matters
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations related to corporate governance and advise the company accordingly
- Participate in the organization and execution of the company's annual general meeting and other shareholder meetings
- Provide support in the drafting and review of corporate policies and procedures
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of the company's corporate governance framework
- Handle ad-hoc projects and assignments as directed by the Company Secretary or senior management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a listed company or professional services firm
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to corporate governance and company secretarial matters
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and corporate secretarial software
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion
- A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
