Compensation & Incentives:

  • Salary Range: $33.77/hr (Min, 5 yrs exp) $38.28/hr (10 yrs exp) $49.06/hr (17+ yrs exp)

  • Shift Differentials: $4.50/night; $1.50/weekend

  • Sign-On Bonus: $15K Days / $20K Nights (through end of Q3; subject to reevaluation afterward)

  • Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case

  • Fee: 20%

Overview

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is a 221-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, serving Seminole and West Volusia County. The hospital provides comprehensive cardiovascular programs, including open-heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac rehab, and diagnostic services. Other services include orthopedic and spine care, robotic surgery, acute inpatient rehab, and imaging services.

The ICU RN plays a critical role in providing high-acuity care to patients needing close monitoring, frequent assessments, and rapid intervention for life-threatening conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect comprehensive patient data and monitor critical vital signs

  • Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team

  • Use clinical judgment to manage care safely and effectively

  • Educate patients and families regarding medications, procedures, and treatments

  • Maintain thorough documentation of care provided

  • Support and collaborate with the ICU team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of recent ICU RN experience in acute care required

  • Florida RN license or multistate RN license (Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain FL license)

  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred

  • Certifications:

    • BCLS within 30 days of hire

    • ACLS within 6 months of hire

    • PALS within 6 months of hire

    • NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of hire

Unit Details

  • Unit Beds: 16

  • Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity
