Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess functional, cognitive, and physical abilities.

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans focused on restoring independence and mobility.

  • Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions using evidence-based techniques.

  • Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, home exercises, and equipment use.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to coordinate care.

  • Document progress, adjust treatment plans, and communicate updates to the care team.

  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, safety protocols, and ethical practice guidelines.

  • Participate in team meetings, patient rounds, and discharge planning discussions.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy or higher

  • Current Florida Occupational Therapist (OT/R) license

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 30 days of hire)

  • Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience

Preferred:

  • Open to new graduates with strong clinical training

  • Experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, or outpatient therapy settings
