Overview
Take the lead in a fast-paced Emergency Department as a Nurse Manager, overseeing a team of skilled RNs dedicated to high-quality, patient-centered care. This role offers operational leadership, staff development, and the opportunity to implement performance improvement initiatives while shaping the patient experience in a high-volume setting.
Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring quality care and efficient workflow

Manage staffing, scheduling, and FTE assignments to meet patient volume and acuity needs

Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and coaching to ED staff

Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

Facilitate new employee onboarding and integration into the team

Conduct performance evaluations, support conflict resolution, and implement disciplinary actions as needed

Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
-
Implement quality checks and performance improvement initiatives for patient safety and operational efficiency

Assist with clinical procedures and case management as required

Monitor and report on department data for decision-making and continuous improvement
Qualifications
Required:
-
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Florida license or compact license (FL RN license required within 90 days if holding out-of-state compact license)

Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited institution

Enrollment in a BSN program required
-
35 years of acute care ED leadership experience within the last year

Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification within 30 days of hire
Preferred:

Advanced Nurse Practitioner license acceptable

Experience managing high-volume EDs with 50+ FTEs

Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
