ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are partnering with a 500+ bed acute care hospital in Salem, Virginia — a leading regional medical center with recognized programs in cardiovascular care, orthopedics, spine, behavioral health, and oncology — to place experienced Emergency Department RNs into permanent staff positions. This facility has served its community for over 100 years and is known for a collaborative, team-first ED culture where nursing leadership actively supports professional development and career growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages across the acuity spectrum — from minor injuries to critically ill presentations
- Manage multiple simultaneous cases, continuously reprioritizing based on acuity across the unit
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary departments to coordinate care plans, referrals, and safe discharges
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately, succinctly, and in compliance with organizational policy
- Maintain composure and professionalism under pressure in a high-volume emergency setting
- Champion patient safety and patient-centered care at every point of contact
REQUIREMENTS
- Active RN license in Virginia, or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA — required
- Diploma or Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program — required
- BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program — preferred
- American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) — required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in an emergency department or acute care setting
- Med/Surg RNs open to ED cross-training considered for night shift positions
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base hourly rate: $32.33 – $48.50 (based on years of experience)
- 0–9 years: $32.33/hr
- 10–19 years: $40.41/hr
- 20+ years: $48.50/hr
Sign-on bonus: $15,000 (with 2-year commitment)
Relocation assistance: Up to $1,500
Shift differentials:
- Nights: +$3.00/hr
- Weekend Days: +$3.00/hr
- Weekend Nights: +$7.00/hr
