Full-Time | Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Compensation:

  • CRT: $24.63 to $34.48/hr

  • RRT: $27.09 to $37.92/hr

  • Shift Differentials: $4.50/night, $3.00/weekend

  • Sign-On Bonus: $10K FT Days (1 yr experience, 2-yr commitment), $20K FT Nights (1 yr experience, 2-yr commitment)

  • Relocation: Case-by-case

  • Fee: $11K (split per contract)

Overview

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is a 290-bed acute care hospital and a Level II Trauma Center located in Hudson, FL. The hospital is home to the nationally acclaimed Heart Institute and offers a comprehensive cardiac and open-heart program. Known for innovation and quality care, the hospital employs over 350 physicians and 1,300 colleagues.

The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) evaluates and manages patients respiratory needs, including the operation of acute care ventilators and delivery of routine and complex respiratory therapies across all ages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply and operate acute care ventilators for short- and long-term mechanical ventilation

  • Develop and implement respiratory care plans for patients

  • Administer routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures

  • Maintain accurate department and hospital records in the electronic system

  • Function independently in the absence of the full-time Team Leader

  • Assist with patient care across age groups in acute care settings

Qualifications

  • Completion of Vocational/Technical program or AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree); Bachelors degree preferred

  • Current Florida State License (CRT) required; RRT preferred

  • BLS certification required

  • ACLS, PALS, and NRP within 6 months of hire

  • Ability to perform frequent physical activity (standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving)
