Overview

Join a compassionate healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Sebring, Florida. This full-time night shift role offers the opportunity to provide advanced respiratory care in a modern hospital setting. You'll play an essential role in diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, using leading-edge technology and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive respiratory assessments, including breath sounds and airway patency.

• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy.

• Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate patient response to treatment.

• Initiate, monitor, and maintain invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.

• Assist in the placement and maintenance of artificial airways.

• Respond promptly to emergency codes and ensure airway integrity during resuscitation.

• Transport ventilator-dependent patients safely within the facility.

• Collaborate with physicians and nursing teams to optimize respiratory care plans.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) license (state-recognized)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of start date)

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (within 30 days of start date)

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (within 30 days of start date)

• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and patient care coordination skills

Preferred:

• Previous acute care or hospital-based respiratory therapy experience

• Proficiency with ventilator management and diagnostic respiratory procedures
