Responsibilities

  • Perform and validate routine and stat clinical laboratory tests in assigned technical areas.

  • Ensure all results are accurate, timely, and compliant with departmental and regulatory standards.

  • Analyze proficiency testing samples and complete required documentation within designated timeframes.

  • Conduct quality control procedures, evaluate data, and take corrective actions as needed.

  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.

  • Manage specimen collection, processing, and referral testing when required.

  • Collaborate with peers and supervisors to meet departmental service and compliance goals.

  • Maintain licensure, competency, and regulatory compliance through continuing education.

  • Support department readiness for CAP and other accrediting agency inspections.

  • Uphold laboratory safety standards and infection control procedures.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.

  • Active State of Florida Technologist License.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related discipline.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Pay: $27.09 to $37.92/hr (based on experience)
Shift Differentials:

  • Night Differential: +$2.50/hr

  • On-Call: +$2/hr
    Bonuses:

  • $10,000 Sign-On (Nights)

  • $5,000 Sign-On (Days)
    Relocation Assistance: Available, case-by-case
