HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is a 392-bed acute care facility and Level II Trauma Center serving Hudson, FL, and surrounding communities. The hospital is home to a nationally recognized Heart Institute, Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, and programs in Cancer Care, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery. The ICU RN role provides care for critically ill patients, including medical, surgical, cardiac, and trauma cases, while supporting patient and family education and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for critically ill patients

  • Administer medications per physician orders and monitor patient responses

  • Maintain and review patient records, including tests and examination results

  • Instruct patients and families on medications, treatments, and care plans

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

Required:

  • Florida RN license or appropriate compact license (FL license required within 60 days if compact)

  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred

  • Minimum 1 year recent ICU experience (MICU/SICU/CSU considered)

  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)

  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire/transfer

  • NIHSS certification within 6 months of hire/transfer

  • Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills
